As an amateur black and white photographer, I love playing with light and shadow. I used this map to experiment with bringing those same concepts to video games. I wanted the rooms to feel naturally lit, like the sun was shining in, and that was the only thing lighting most of the rooms. I also played with the patterns the shadows made on the floor and walls.
